Senate Representatives Committee

Senate Representatives present legislation introduced during a Senate General Assembly to their respective councils, and facilitate questions, discussion and debate concerning the legislation within their councils. The Representatives Committee meets bi-weekly to clarify the legislation that has been introduced during the preceding Senate General Assembly meeting, and to discuss the general initiatives and activities being undertaken by each council.

Per the Senate Constitution, “the Senate representative of each council is selected as a member in accordance with the governing documents of the respective council. Each representative participates in General Assembly meetings, serves on the Representatives Committee, and is eligible to serve on an academic committee. In the event that a representative is no longer eligible for membership, the respective council replaces the position.”
