Undergraduate Research Grant

Spring 2014 Undergraduate Research Grant Application

Each semester, the Senate of College Councils’ Undergraduate Research Committee administers a $1,000 undergraduate research grant. The Undergraduate Research Grant (URG) seeks to encourage students to become actively involved in research early in their undergraduate careers by providing funding to a deserving applicant. One winner receives the $1,000 prize to be used towards the funding of his or her research. Eligible applicants include students assisting a faculty member with a research project, as well as students conducting independent or partnered research. The Undergraduate Research Grant (URG) is sponsored by the Senate of College Councils. Find the application here. Note: The application deadline has been extended to Friday, March 7.

The deadline for all required materials is Friday, March 7, 2014 at 5:00 PM. Submit your application electronically to SenateURC@gmail.com. With the exception of the faculty recommendation, please ensure that all required materials are in the same document. Applications may be in either Word or PDF format. In the event that an electronic submission is not possible, you may submit your application in a manila envelope, in person, to Becky Carreon. Her desk is located in the Senate of College Councils’ office in SAC 2.102.

Please contact Joe Ramos and Divya Ramamoorthy at senateurc@gmail.com with any questions regarding the application.
