Board of Regents
Over the past few years, discussions regarding university leadership, teaching and research, teacher productivity and evaluations, and the use of online courses, have sparked controversy surrounding The University of Texas System Board of Regents, the Texas Public Policy Foundation and a list of reforms known as the Seven Breakthrough Solutions for Higher Education. The timeline below, as well as the rest of the pages, has been created by the Senate of College Councils – the official voice for UT students in academics – and is devoted to informing the UT community, particularly students, about this complex and ever-changing controversy. In addition to the timeline (which can be switched to multiple different views), the Media Coverage page provides a step-by-step look at the entire history of this situation.
