About
The Academic Expo is a two-day outdoor exhibition which will showcase academic services, programs, and the activities of the Senate and of the college councils. This event provides students with a unique venue to learn about the organizations that represent their academic interests, interact with student leaders, give feedback and input on issues, and explore the wealth of opportunities found at UT. The Academic Expo unites the Senate of College Councils with academic programs and organizations across the university to enhance students’ educational experiences. In addition to educational resources, visitors will receive fun give-away items, including free T-shirts, water bottles, pizza, beverages, snow cones, cotton candy, and more!
Goals:
As the official voice of students in academic affairs, Senate represents students’ concerns and opinions with regards to academic issues, aims to improve the student experience, and works to promote and publicize academic opportunities the university has to offer. The purpose of the Academic Expo is to help students:
discover the university’s academic services, opportunities, and programs
learn about and voice opinions on academic issues affecting you
access key resources and information aimed at enhancing your educational experience
impact academic policies
cultivate a visible, interconnected academic community
